There is nothing more brutal then when you need sleep and you can’t get your brain to stop racing enough to get at least eight hours. It absolutely sucks and I suffered for years with insomnia or never getting more than 4 – 5 hours a night.
This sleep deprivation made ordinary stress into extreme stress. Instead of having a buffer to help handle the stress all I had was a very short fuse. I contributed it to my anger challenges… well a funny thing happened. My anger challenges subsided when I was able to get sleep. The stress manifested from lack of sleep slowed down my thyroid and created weight gain… once I was able to get my sleeping patterns under control my weight came off easily and almost nothing stressed me out.
